[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Ready to get snuggly, warm, and cozy? There’s no better way to get the job done than to grab a nice big blanket or quilt to wrap up in! Blankets and quilts are the perfect beginner crochet, knit or sewing project. There doesn’t need to be any twists or turns, just straight lines. You can make a blanket however you want using a huge variety or styles, methods, stitches and materials. You can do something super simple like those cut and tie fleece blankets you see everywhere, or crochet one with granny squares. They can also be as complex as you want with the addition of motifs, fringe, edging, and varying stitches.
Something I’d like to learn in the next year or so is to quilt. I have a love/hate relationship with quilting in that I don’t really like the look of “traditional” quilting. However, I’ve found some modern quilting examples that I really like and I’d love to give them a try some time. Those examples and many more are included in this gallery of blanket & quilt inspiration to get your creative juices flowing. Fall is officially here and I’m ready to make something cozy![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_media_grid element_width=”3″ grid_id=”vc_gid:1493395050538-14b9c96e-8b60-5″ include=”1338,1335,1332,1331,1328,1325,1322,1319,1316,1314,1311,1308,1306,1303,1300,1297,1294,1291,1288,1285,1282,1279,1276,1273,1270,1267,1264,1261,1259,1256,1253,1250,1247,1244,1241,1238,1235,1232,1229,1226,1223,1220,1217,1214,1211,1208,1205,1202,1200,1198,1195″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
